Service Standard
Exterior window cleaning
Our standard service covers exterior glass, frames and sills wherever they can be safely accessed as part of the service.
Existing defects and unstable surfaces
We take reasonable care around every property. CleanForge cannot accept
responsibility for deterioration of existing defects, including loose or
flaking paint, rotten timber, failed sealants, unstable trims, defective
glazing, existing cracks or damaged glass, or other surfaces that were
already damaged before cleaning.
CleanForge reserves the right to omit or decline cleaning of surfaces
where loose paint, render, coatings or other unstable materials may
contaminate cleaning equipment, compromise cleaning quality or cause
further deterioration of existing defects. We will explain any affected
areas where practical.
Water ingress and weatherproofing
CleanForge takes reasonable care when cleaning exterior windows, doors,
frames and sills. We cannot accept responsibility for water ingress
resulting from pre-existing defects, including failed seals,
deteriorated weatherproofing, poorly fitted doors or windows, defective
glazing, vents or other building defects.
Access and nearby items
Work may be omitted or rearranged where access is unsafe, obstructed or
outside the agreed service scope. Customers should move fragile items,
furniture, vehicles and customer-owned fixtures away from working and
access areas where practical, and secure pets before the visit.
Preparing for a clean
Before we arrive, please ensure that all windows and exterior doors are
fully closed. If you know of damaged seals, leaks or areas that are not
weatherproof, please tell us before cleaning begins.
Payment
Payment is due after each completed clean. Our preferred payment method
is bank transfer, although cash is also accepted. A regular 6-weekly
service sets the cleaning schedule; each completed visit is paid for
individually and does not require a payment subscription.
Finish and removable marks
Standard window cleaning does not guarantee removal of permanent
staining, oxidation, limescale, paint, cement, scratches, failed double
glazing marks or historic damage. Heavily soiled or weathered surfaces
may improve over several regular visits.
Additional exterior services
Conservatory roofs, gutters, fascias and soffits are cleaned only when
included in the agreed quotation and when their condition and access
allow the work to be completed safely. Fragile, damaged or unstable
panels and fittings may be omitted.
Questions or concerns
If anything about the planned service is unclear, please contact
CleanForge before the visit. We prefer to discuss a concern in advance
and agree the safest, most practical approach.
