Water-fed pole cleaning is a simple, low-residue way to maintain exterior windows on a regular round.
Thorough rinse
The windows are brushed and rinsed thoroughly. The glass is then left wet so the purified water can dry naturally.
Ground-based reach
Upper windows can usually be cleaned from the ground using professional water-fed pole equipment, where access and conditions allow.
First Clean or One-Off Service
What to expect from the initial service
A first clean or one-off service is often different from a regular 6-weekly visit. If windows, frames, vents or seals have not been cleaned recently, old buildup can take more work to reduce.
CleanForge will work carefully, but an initial service should not be treated as a promise of a perfect finish on every surface. Some properties improve further if you choose regular repeat visits.

Pure Water
Why we use pure water instead of soap
Pure water attracts and lifts dirt from exterior glass. Soap can leave residue if it is not fully removed, while purified water is designed to dry naturally. Regular 6-weekly visits benefit from this method because buildup is reduced over time.
Frames, Sills & Doors
What is included
Frames and sills are included as standard where safely accessible. Heavily soiled frames may improve over multiple visits. Some staining, oxidation, limescale, paint, cement, scratches or historic damage may not be removable by standard window cleaning.

Quoted separately
Conservatory roof cleaning, gutter clearing, and fascia and soffit cleaning are quoted separately. Depending on the property, these may be one-off, annual or twice-yearly services.

Clear expectations help the regular round run smoothly for everyone.
Access
Where rear access is required, please keep gates unlocked, secure pets, and move fragile items away from access routes where practical. Please notify CleanForge of access issues in advance.
If rear access is blocked, only reachable windows may be cleaned or the visit may need rearranging.
Weather
Light rain usually does not prevent pure-water window cleaning. Heavy rain, strong wind, ice, lightning or unsafe conditions may lead to rescheduling. Safety comes first.
6-weekly service
Regular residential exterior window cleaning is 6-weekly. This helps keep local rounds reliable and avoids visits being too frequent or too far apart.
Exact dates may vary slightly because rounds, weather, access and holidays can affect scheduling. Occasionally a visit may be slightly earlier or later to keep nearby properties grouped efficiently.

If anything changes after accepting your quote, contact CleanForge before the visit so the round can be planned properly.
- Make sure all windows and exterior doors are fully closed.
- Keep gates unlocked where rear access is required.
- Secure pets away from working areas.
- Move fragile items away from access routes where practical.
- Tell CleanForge about access issues in advance.
- Tell us about damaged seals, leaks or areas that are not weatherproof.
- Pay after each completed clean. Bank transfer is preferred, although cash is also accepted.

Will the windows be dry when you leave?
No. Pure-water window cleaning is designed to dry naturally. The glass is rinsed thoroughly and left wet so the purified water can dry without the same mineral residue as tap water.
Why are there spots after the initial service?
After a first clean or one-off service, old residue can continue to run from frames, seals, vents and previous cleaning products. Regular 6-weekly cleaning usually reduces this as buildup is removed over repeat visits.
Do you clean in the rain?
Light rain usually does not prevent pure-water window cleaning. Heavy rain, strong wind, ice, lightning or unsafe conditions may mean the visit is rearranged.
Do you use soap?
Normally no. Regular exterior window cleaning uses purified water because it is designed to lift dirt and dry naturally without detergent residue.
What if you cannot access the back?
If rear access is blocked, only reachable windows may be cleaned or the visit may need to be rearranged. Please tell CleanForge about access issues in advance where possible.
Are frames and sills included?
Yes. We clean exterior glass, frames and sills wherever they can be safely accessed as part of the service.
What if the paint on the frames is already flaking?
We always take great care when cleaning your windows. If paint is loose, peeling or flaking, we may be unable to clean the affected frames or sills. Loose paint can contaminate our cleaning brushes and affect cleaning quality. Where this happens, we'll explain the situation and discuss the best option before proceeding.
Can cleaning cause water to enter the property?
Under normal circumstances, no. However, if a window, door, vent or seal is already damaged, poorly fitted or no longer weatherproof, water may enter during cleaning. If we notice an obvious issue before starting, we'll let you know where practical.
Do you clean inside windows?
No. CleanForge specialises in exterior window cleaning using a pure-water system. By focusing exclusively on exterior cleaning, we provide a safer, faster and more consistent service.
